Bayou Bend Mitigation Bank

Ironwood Resource Advisors adds Bayou Bend Mitigation Bank to Texas Portfolio

Ironwood Mitigation Advisors is pleased to announce the approval of the Bayou Bend Mitigation Bank — the company’s fourth mitigation site supporting the Greater Houston area.

Approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on December 19, 2022, the 776-acre project is located on Cedar Bayou, an ecologically critical yet highly disturbed resource supporting industrial, agriculture, commercial and recreational economies of the region.

Through bottomland forest and wetland restoration, Bayou Bend Mitigation Bank will contribute to ongoing efforts to restore and maintain water quality of Cedar Bayou, its tributaries, and ultimately, Galveston Bay.

Restoration is expected to generate over 2,000 forested wetland credits. “A significant amount of planting and construction has been completed with outstanding initiatives underway,” said Troy Madrigal, principal and founder of Ironwood Resource Advisors.

Permitted by Alluvion Resource Company, Bayou Bend Wetland Mitigation Bank will also serve Harris, Montgomery, Chambers, Liberty and San Jacinto Counties.
